413 Saint Thomas Church

The first Roman Catholic mass in the Como-Hudson settlement was celebrated on 1 November 1897 in the building depicted in the sketch above. The original clapboard mission church received a major face-lift in 1924, in which the clapboard was augmented by bricks and the steeple was added, created the impressive St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church of Hudson as it stands today. The rectory to the west of the church was built in 1905.
