775 Finnegan's Market

One of the original homes on this property, later used as a barn and as a stable, is sketched above. It is now the site of the famous Finnegan's Market, open every Saturday during the Summer months. Finnegan was the pet dog of the Aird family who run the market. It is named after the dog of neighbour Steve Thom, because Mary, one of the Aird children, on hearing talk of a "flea market", asked "are we going to sell Finnegan's fleas?".
