305 A.C. Lane Store

This was the location of the renowned A. C. Lane Store and Service Station, which operated between 1932 and 1948. The early photograph, circa 1925, is actually of the store at its previous location across the street. From left to right, the three people in the photograph are Aldwood Chambers Lane himself, Ken Hodgson and Doug Brown. Millie Cuttle, daughter of A. C. Lane, who still lives in the family home at 309, has converted the store into two apartments.
