St. Mary's Anglican Church was built in 1867 in Gothic Revival Style (but without the buttresses). On 23 June 1867, Amy Mary Parsons was the first child baptized; on 9 September 1895, Alice Maud Shepherd and Haldane Haswell were the first couple married; and, on 10 May 1877, the first confirmation was held.
