898 Graham's Post Office
William Graham (1818-1878) owned six barges which transported wood from Graham's Point to his woodyard in Montreal. There, logs were coverted to masts, staves, puncheons and barrels, and transported to Britain, starved for wood by Napoleon's closing of the Baltic ports. He purchased this house, built in 1864, for his son, William Graham 11. It became the Graham Post Office in 1893. The Graham Farm nearby, with its fine herd of Holstein cattle, operated a local milk delivery service for 39 years.
